Rivian R2 accessories
I love my R2. It is the best car I have ever owned, and like most new owners I went looking for a few things to go with it. A lot of what turns up in a search is made for the R1T or R1S, so this page covers what fits an R2, what Rivian offers, and what to check before you order.
Check that a part is made for the R2
The R2 has a different interior from the R1T and R1S. The center console in particular is a different shape, so trays and organizers built for those two will not sit properly in an R2.
The compatibility line is the quickest way to tell. A listing that reads "fits R1T, R1S and R2, 2022 through 2027" is describing one part shared across three different interiors. Something made specifically for the R2 will name the R2 on its own, because that is the car it was shaped around.
What Rivian sells
Rivian’s own accessory catalog is the right place to start, and it is a strong one. Prices and availability change, so check rivian.com for current details rather than a number quoted somewhere else.
- Wheels and tires: All-terrain and all-season wheel sets, plus a compact spare tire kit that stores under the trunk floor.
- Roof and cargo: Crossbars, a rooftop tent, an external storage box, and a cover for the cargo area.
- Charging: The Rivian Wall Charger, which uses NACS, so you will not need an adapter at home.
- Cabin protection: A sunshade for the windshield and a protector for the infotainment screen.
The catalog concentrates on the bigger pieces: wheels, roof and cargo gear, charging, and protection. Organizing the small things inside the cabin was the one place I wanted something slightly different for my own car, which is how I ended up making this tray.
What to look for
These are the things I look for now when I am shopping for R2 interior parts. All of them are easy to confirm before you order.
- A listing that names the R2 alone: That usually means the part was shaped around this interior specifically rather than shared across models.
- Test-fitted in an actual R2: Just ask. Anyone who has had one in a car is usually glad to say so, and it is the strongest signal you can get.
- PETG, ASA, ABS or polycarbonate: All four are happy in a cabin year-round, including a car parked in the sun. PLA is better suited to parts that stay indoors.
Rivian R2 accessory questions
Do Rivian R1S or R1T accessories fit the R2?
No. The R2’s interior is different, and the center console especially, so parts shaped for the R1T or R1S will not seat properly. It is worth reading the compatibility line closely, since some listings cover several models at once.
When did Rivian R2 deliveries start?
The first customer deliveries were in June 2026, starting with the R2 Performance with Launch Package. The car is sold as a 2027 model year, which is why fitment listings say 2027 even though the earliest cars arrived in 2026.
Will a third-party accessory void my Rivian warranty?
Rivian’s warranty terms are the place to check, and they are clear about what is covered. What I can tell you about my own tray is that it is a drop-in part. It rests in an opening that is already there, it attaches to nothing, it modifies nothing, and it lifts straight back out.
What material should R2 interior accessories be made from?
Something that is happy in a hot parked car. PETG, ASA, ABS and polycarbonate all are, and any of them will last. PLA is better suited to indoor parts, so it is worth checking what a listing is printed in.
